Karunanidhi is stable: Ghulam Nabi Azad after meeting MK Stalin

DMK President M. Karunanidhi early on Saturday was admitted into the intensive care unit (ICU) of Kauvery Hospital here after his blood pressure dropped.

After meeting the DMK working president MK Stalin at Kauvery hospital in Chennai, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad met reporters where he said that Karunanidhi's health has been improving.
He said that he met DMK MP Kanimozhi along with MK Stalin and the doctors of the hospital to call up on the former Chief Minister.
He said that he was not able to meet M Karunanidhi as per the doctors' advise.
He added that the DMK supremo's health has now become stable and he would soon return home to lead the state.

In a statement, the hospital said the 94-year-old leader was admitted into ICU at 1.30 a.m.
The five time former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has been suffering from urinary tract infection and age-related ailments and was earlier under treatment at his home.
