Party coordinator O Panneerselvam and joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami said Vijaykumar was being “relieved from the post of Kanniyakumari (AIADMK) district secretary,” but did not assign any reason for the change.
Considering administrative convenience, the party’s Kanniyakumari district unit was now being bifurcated as Kanniyakumari East and West, each covering three Assembly segments. SA Asokan was being appointed secretary of Kanniyakumari east while D Johnthangam will handle the west, they said in a statement and urged the local functionaries to extend their cooperation to the new office-bearers.
