Woman cop's sexual allegation: Rashtrapati Bhavan writes to Chief Seceratery
The woman cop had worked in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC), and accused S Murugan, of sexual harassment in her complaint.

After a woman Superintendent of Police (SP) accused her senior (IG) of sexual harassment, a letter has been sent to the Chief Secretary, Girija Vaidyanathan from the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The woman cop had worked in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC), and accused S Murugan, of sexual harassment in her complaint. Murugan, an Inspector General of police, is the joint director of DVAC.
Following the complaint, the woman SP has gone on a leave. According to reports, the woman cop claimed that she has been subjected to harassment for the past 7 months by the senior officer.
The Tamil Nadu police has referred the case to the newly reconstituted Vishaka committee.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) and Director of the Tamil Nadu State Crime Records Bureau Seema Agarwal; ADGP S Arunachalam; Deputy Inspector General of Police Thenmozhi; Superintendent of Police (retired) Saraswathi; and a serving administrative officer in the office of the DGP are members of the newly formed committee.
The case is being probed as per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
