Addressing media persons at the DMDK party office here, where she was felicitated by the women’s wing, she said: “As a woman, I feel that our lives are in our own hands. If women stay strong and set example for others, we can avoid any problem in the society. I strongly feel that only if women give room, men can pounce on them.”
Commenting on her party’s preparations for the upcoming elections, Premalatha said: “We are getting news that there would be simultaneous elections for both the parliament and assembly seats. We are gearing up for it. Once the election dates are confirmed, we will decide on electoral alliances.”
Speaking about the health of Vijayakanth, she said that he would soon undergo the second phase of treatment, following which people can expect to hear his “electrifying speech” again.
