Three youths die as bikes collide head-on

Police said the accident took place near Tamil Nadu Hotel in Murugampet village when two youngsters Ajith (18) and Kathiresan (24) were returning home via Tirupati National Highway on Sunday night. “Two others from Pallipattu village, Bhaskaran (32) and Harikrishnan (22) were riding a two-wheeler towards Tiruttani when the bikes collided head on,” police said.

In the impact of the collision, Bhaskaran, Ajith and Kathiresan died on the spot. Harikrishnan, who was seriously injured, was rushed to the Tiruttani Government Hospital by onlookers and the public. He was later shifted to the Tiruvallur Government Hospital for advanced treatment.

The Tiruttani police sent all three bodies for post mortem and registered a case. The death of three local youth has left the residents of Pallipattu and surrounding areas in a state of shock.
