Don't mock the #MeeToo allegations, says Kamal

Makkal Needhi Maiam founder and chief Kamal Haasan participated in the launch of Ghibran's album 'Get Your Freaking Hands Off Me' held in private engineering college in Arumbakkam. While addressing the audience, veteran actor Kamal advised not to ridicule at allegation made in social media under #MeToo movement.

"People of India made a woman as its ruler when the rest of the world was thinking about it. It is men's responsibility to make women feel safe", exclaimed Kamal.

He added, "People are questioning why belated allegations were made against eminent persons. Now several voices came out courageously, so don't mock at them. Voicing for social justice can come at any point of time."

After taking part in the album launch, Kamal visited the people dwelling in the Tamil Nadu housing board, Ezhil nagar which is devoid of basic amenities.
