Speaking to reporters after a discussion with the party executive committee members here, the VCK chief said, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the party has decided to organise a state level conference with an agenda to save nation on December 10 in which, the leaders from various political parties would participate.

“Congress president Rahul Gandhi, DMK president MK Stalin, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI general secretary Sudhakar Reddy and other leaders are invited and they would certainly participate,” said Thirumavalavan.

Meanwhile, the VCK chief said that the conference has been organsied with a single motto of removing the communal BJP from the Centre.

Stating that the conference would be a turning point in the state politics, Thirumavalavan asked the Centre to drop all the anti-people projects. He also urged the Centre to seek the opinion of the local people when they want to implement a project.

Thirumavalavan, who opined that Modi will again come to power if a third front was not formed prior to the election, claimed that it would lead to total destruction and so the like-minded political parties should unite to work against the BJP, he said.
