PMK cadre attacked by armed gang, previous enmity suspected

According to police, the victim was identified as Suresh, a businessman and a PMK cadre. Suresh was on his way to office when he was attacked by the gang. 

Police said that Suresh was into the business of M-sand. He was attacked by a duo, who followed him in a two-wheeler. 

Suresh sustained serious injuries to the head as the gang attacked him with sharp weapons. He was rushed to Tiruttani Government Hospital, a police official said. Suresh is said to be out of danger. 

During inquiry, Suresh said Surgunam (30) from Pattabbirampuram and Kumar (28) from Indira Nagar along with a few unidentified persons attacked him. Cops suspect previous enmity to be the motive behind the assault. 

The Tiruttani police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the accused.
