TN text book corporation sends 4 lakh books to cyclone hit districts
TN Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami ordered to issue new school text books to students of four districts which were severely affected by cyclone ‘Gaja’.

Cyclone ‘Gaja’ wreaked a havoc in several parts of Tamil Nadu, in particularly delta districts. The heavy rain which accompanied the cyclone damaged books of several school students. Concerning the education of children, Chief Minister ordered Tamil Nadu Text book corporation to provide 4 lakh new school books to students of four districts.
Acting upon the words Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu text book corporation has sent 4 lakh new text books to Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur and Pudukottai districts.
The chairman of Tamil Nadu text book educational service and corporation Valarmathi said that educational officials of the four districts prepared the list of students whose books got damaged due to recent cyclone.
In accordance with the collected data, the text book corporation has sent 1 lakh 57 thousand books to Nagapattinam, 1 lakh 61 thousand books to Thanjavur, 55 thousand books to Tiruvarur, 21 thousand books Pudukottai,” Valarmathi said.
