Karur AIADMK men happy over defection of Senthil Balaji

They raised slogans against him and said that it is his fifth defection from a party and they also broke cookers, the symbol of TTV Dhinakaran’s AMMK from which Senthil Balaji moved on.

They said that the DMK had already lost its ground in Karur and with Senthil Balaji’s joining it the party would suffer further damage.

The cadre raised slogans against the former minister and ‘praised him’ for his successful shifting of the camp for the fifth time.

Senthil Balaji was with the DMK initially and went with the MDMK when Vaiko parted with the DMK and later joined the AIADMK then went with the AMMK when it was formed after splitting the AIADMK. In 18 years of his political career, he has changed parties for the fifth time, they added.

The cadre said that the late chief minister J Jayalalithaa took care of him and he has betrayed her by joining Dhinakaran, who was kept at a distance by her.

“Jayalalithaa even advised the AIADMK cadre not to have any contact with Dhinakaran, but Senthil Balaji had not paid attention to her dictate and thus, the soul of ‘Amma’ will never forgive him,” they shouted and rallied in the town and burst crackers when they passed through the office of Senthil Balaji. Later, they brought the cooker, the party symbol of AMMK and broke it in the middle of the road with a heavy hammer.
