Two, including DMK man, killed in Pondy

A DMK functionary hailing from Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu was hacked to death by a gang at Nonamkuppam near here last evening. Sources said, Chandran, who is doing real estate work was returning to Cuddalore from Puducherry when the incident occurred.

In another incident, police said 22-year-old youth was hacked to death by an unidentified gang at Nellithoppe.

Iyyappan, an automobile mechanic was returning from his work on a bike with his friend when the gang way-laid them at Nellithope. When Iyyappan fell down, he was hacked by the gang.  A seriously injured Iyyappan was rushed to the GH where he succumbed. Police suspect that it may be a case of revenge, since a murder case is pending against Iyyappan at Kottakuppam police station.
