From urging parents to wear helmets to advising them to not handle electrical gadgets with wet hands, bi-lingual (English and Tamil) awareness messages along with cut-outs of school uniform clad children have been placed in many places on ICF campus. “Uncle. Drive slow. Use helmet and never jump Red (Danger) signal,” reads a hoarding at tri-corner junction connecting the furnishing division and the residential colony.

“Daddy, please drive safely. Mother, brother and I are waiting for you at home,” says another hoarding bearing the image of a school boy. “Aunty, avoid handling electrical gadgets with wet hands,” says a teenage girl in school uniform, addressing the woman ICF employees who run an exclusive welding and upholstery division. “The safety messages have been provided both in Tamil and English with a  view to have wider reach and create better impact,” said a ICF officer, exuding confidence that novel awareness drive was sure to create huge impact among ICF employees.
