The new system would provide not only user friendly but also secure data submission through electronic modes such as computers, tabs and mobile phones. Accordingly, a mobile app would be developed to link the dashboard of the candidates and inform them about the examination activities of the TNPSC. Sources from the TNPSC told DT Next that the objective of the new system is to develop and continue the automated registration process and provide user friendly access to the candidates for submission of applications.
The system will help the candidates to register their profile and upload their photograph, signature and certificates in the portal permanently so that they can apply for any examination or recruitment.
Other broad objectives of the online system include an increase in operational efficiency, secure data submission, permanent database, providing better monitoring tools for recruitment and policy making and improving service delivery to the candidates.
The particulars of the candidates on one-time registration mode will remain permanent in the form of dashboard and any new notifications and results will be notified to all those registered with TNPSC. One-time registration fee of Rs 150 will be collected for new entry or renewal. The fee will be valid for five years. The firewall and bandwidth of the new system will be able to handle 5 lakh candidates per day.
