A day after DMK president MK Stalin accused Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam of performing Yagna in Secretariat, O Panneerselvam met reporters and said, "I didn't perform any Yagna as claimed by DMK president MK Stalin. It was a simple worship that I usually offer. It’s not possible to become a Chief Minister just by performing Yagna. If so, all MLA's would perform similar Yagna and become Chief Minister".
He also questioned the rational belief of MK Stalin, "How does he believe a person can become CM by performing Yagna? Is this even rational? We are significantly doing a good job of taking Amma's vision to people and 100% Tamil Nadu people are by us".
