BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan termed the Budget as flawless with the opposition and the left parties finding it difficult to find faults.
“The Centre in its public friendly Budget has assured tax savings for the salaried middle class and a separate department for fisheries,” Tamilisai told reporters onFriday.
BJP workers and functionaries also reached out to Union Minister of State for Finance Pon Radhakrishnan congratulating him for assisting incumbent Finance Minister Piyush Goyal to table the populist interim budget. “Post Budget presentation, TN parties will prefer for development and will ally with the BJP,” state secretary KT Raghavan toldDT Next.
Exuding confidence that the interim Budget will be a poll plank for the BJP, Raghavan explained that it has promised benefits to several sectors covering farmers, salaried class, fishermen, unorganised sector, aged and pensioners. The Budget will have positive sentiment both from fiscal and growth perspective.
“Lok Sabha is all about electing a strong PM and for this both the AIADMK and PMK need the BJP which has a strong PM candidate. Both the parties have welcomed the Union Budget and there is a scope for the AIADMK, PMK and BJP to stich a strong NDA alliance,” Raghavan said.
