Minister to hand over certificates of registration to hospitals

At the inaugural function of the two-day programme, the Minister would distribute certificates to one hospital from each of the 32 districts. 

Under the Act that seeks to regulate the clinical establishments in the State, all medical establishments, including hospitals, consulting rooms, clinics, polyclinics, hospitals, maternity hospitals, dental clinics, dental hospitals, clinical laboratories and X-ray centres are mandated to register themselves.

In addition to allopathic hospitals and clinics, all institutions under the Indian medicine systems should also be enrolled, said officials. This should be done by May 2019.
