He further said that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami was directly involved in the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
“So far, I have been talking about the corruption charges of the Chief Minister and now on, I would continue to bring out the details of the murders that took place in Kodanad for over 30 years for which, I have proof,” Elangovan told reporters here.
He further slammed the Chief Minister and said, “Honest people can file a defamation suit, but Palaniswami is not one of that kind and so not even eligible to file a defamation case against me.”
“These cases will never stop me in bringing out the corruption of the Chief Minister and I will continue to do so and he can file as many cases as possible and I never mind them,” Elangovan stressed.
Meanwhile, he charged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was talking alliance with the front that tried to murder Kamarajar when he was the president of AICC. “So, Modi is not eligible to talk in favour of King Maker Kamarajar,” he added.
The ex-TNCC chief Elangovan was facing defamation cases for his press meet on August 26, 2018 at Samayapuram where he raised doubt whether the Chief Minister wants to get commission over the construction of new regulator at Kollidam. Subsequently, a case was filed against Elagovan for his defamatory comments against the Chief Minister. The judge who heard the case asked Elangovan to appear before the court on February 12. The case was postponed to March 14.
