The computer-based online test aims to provide a fair, transparent and better test delivery mechanism at a reduced cycle time and cost.
An MRB official told DT Next on Saturday that by leveraging available IT solutions, the board aims to completely automate its recruitment process, and reduce repetitive paperwork and records through computerisation of back-office functions. It aims to provide not only user-friendly but also secured data submission through electronic mode and quicker processing of results, he said.
The computer-based test will establish transparency in the examination process in terms of ensuring the history of events since registration of candidates till declaration of results, he said. “It aims to provide better monitoring and control mechanism with real time on the examination process so that no candidate gets any undue advantage,” he said adding, “the new recruitment process will contain the best available IT solutions and enable MRB to easily migrate to advanced technological platform in future.
The MRB plans to conduct the first online test soon and a batch of 190 candidates will be appearing for it, the official said. “The test will be objective type,” he added.
