The Minister said, “All the parties, including DMDK, got their identity with the help of AIADMK. We are holding talks with DMDK not because they have vote share but out of respect. DMDK should stop deploying a youth to criticise AIADMK as they can also retaliate. We are maintaining silence because of Chief Minister, Edappadi K Palaniswami”.

Referring to the alliance forged by the ruling AIADMK with BJP-led NDA ahead of the Lok Sabha election this year, Rajendra Balaji said that it was a strong, mega and victorious tie-up. Moreover, talks on alliance with other parties were also on to bring them into the AIADMK –BJP fold for the ensuing Parliament polls. Talking to reporters in Virudhunagar on Tuesday, the Minister said the AIADMK would achieve a massive victory in the Lok Sabha polls and emerge as a deciding factor in the formation of the next government at the Centre.

With the massive win, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy would be empowered to have a final say on Prime Ministerial candidate.

He said the AIADMK was firm in its stand to retain Narendra Modi as Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Responding to query on special assistance of Rs 6,000 to farmers and Rs 2,000 to BPL families in Tamil Nadu, the Minister said it was people-friendly scheme introduced by AIADMK to help the poor. But, the opposition DMK has been criticising even this scheme which is aimed at benefitting the families struggling in poverty.
