They vowed to unseat the BJP and AIADMK governments from the Centre and State.

Leading the attack, DMK leader MK Stalin said that the BJP in the Centre is trying to destroy the multifaceted Indian democracy. “The BJP is a party for corporates, “he said.

Pointing out to the terrorist attack killing 44 army men, Stalin said, the Defence Minister claims that there were no other attacks, but nine lives were lost in 2014 and another nine persons in 2016. “If this government continues, more Anitha’s (who committed suicide over NEET issue) will end lives,” he said.

Stating that the AIADMK is serving the fascist BJP government, Stalin said the present AIADMK leaders will be ready to even commit murder (in reference to Kodanad issue).

CPI leader R Nallakannu took a dig at the state government for failing to act on those plundering the natural resources, but has been active only in transferring honest officials, who probe such offences.

"It has been more than a week since activist Mugilan has gone missing. But the government hasn’t done anything to trace him. The CPI will organise a protest on the issue on March 2,” he said.

MDMK leader Vaiko, TNCC president KC Alagiri, VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan were among those who participated.
