On Tuesday evening, Gunasekaran had went to Nakkambadi village to bring back his wife but she had denied to go with him. Infuriated over the denial, Gunasekaran has damaged the haystocks piled in front of the house and left the spot.
Irate by this, the relatives of Manjula had taken her to Mathumadaki village and had reportedly attacked Gunasekaran, who had been under the influence of alcohol. After the attack, Gunasekaran had fell unconscious and Manjula’s relatives, assumed that he had died. Hence, the relatives took him to a secluded place and blazed him alive. Later, the relatives declared that he had committed suicide.
