Remarking that NYAY has made the poor people smile after five years, DMK president M K Stalin said the poor people who suffered in the BJP regime view the income support scheme as an “Akshaya paatra” which would free them of poverty.
Slamming the BJP for criticising NYAY, especially the statement of Niti Aayog Vice-President Rajiv Kumar that it was an unviable scheme, the DMK president said Kumar has transformed to a BJP pracharak and said the ruling party leaders’ criticism stems from their exasperation.
Extending his wholehearted support to the scheme, Stalin said that there could not be an iota of doubt on the implementation of the scheme, which would make poor people the masters of the country after June 3
