Thirunavukkarasar gets tips from septuagenarian on how to woo voters
There was a brief commotion when a 75-year-old Congress cadre interrupted party Tiruchy MP candidate S Thirunavukkarasar during the latter’s campaign speech late on Monday.

Thirunavukkarasar, who was campaigning in the rural pockets of Tiruchyfor the past couple of days, visited Kodiyalam village late on Monday.Having come late by more than an hour, the former TNCC presidentstarted his speech by mentioning the names of various partyfunctionaries and those belonging to allies.
Agitated over this, Mookan, a Congress cadre from Kodiyalam, interrupted him and advised him to instead speak about his plans to develop the constituency.
A shocked Thirunavukkarasar attempted to reply to him, but Mookan went on by stating that the people were waiting to hear his development plans. Mookan refused to relent despite a warning by DMK Athavathur union secretary.
Subsequently, after a few more embarrassing moments for the MP candidate, Mookan gave in by advising him to state the promises which would make the people to decide on supporting him. Thirunavukkarasar then continued with his campaign.
