“Poor people are becoming poorer, but Vijay Mallya and corporate companies are swindling in crores. It’s because Modi remains a watchman for such big looters. The Prime Minister is not a watchman but a thief, who guards the corrupt, murderers and robbers,” said Stalin, while speaking at an election rally in Salem district on Friday.

Exuding confidence that the DMK and its allies will win all the 40 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Stalin said, “The DMKs manifesto was a hero, while that of the Congress is a superhero. The BJP’s is zero.”

On the criticism as to why DMK has been announcing projects that can only be implemented by the Centre, Stalin said, “I gave promises out of belief that only a party pointed by us will form the government at the Centre. I am confident Rahul is going to become the Prime Minister.” In a further personal attack, Stalin said that Modi is functioning as an autocrat and Edappadi K Palaniswami is running the government in a useless manner. “Both these governments in state and Centre should be removed,” he said.

Asking if BJP’s manifesto had any mention of NEET, state autonomy or employment, Stalin said, instead the party says the country will be developed into a super economy (vallarasu) in 2047.

“They continue to release manifesto as mere papers and dreams. Now the desire of the frustrated people is that Modi should step down and go. If Modi is ready to fullfill this wish, then people would thank him with folded hands for a thousand times,” he said.

Stalin also listed out the Rs 6,000 financial support scheme, separate budgets for agriculture, farm loan waiver and no criminal case on loan defaulters to bring a change in the lives of people.
