Class 12 board results to be declared on Friday
More than eight lakh students who appeared for Class 12 board exams this March, are set to receive their board exam results as per the government schedule on Friday.

The exams were conducted from March 1 to 19 with students facing tough Mathematics and Biology papers. “The results will be announced on April 19 at 9.30 am,” a senior official from the Directorate of Examinations said on Wednesday.
Accordingly, all the 8.61 lakh students who appeared for the exams, can view their results with analysis on www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge1.tn.nic.in and ww.dge2.tn.nic.in. In addition, the authorities have also made arrangements to message (SMS) the results of the students to the parents/guardians.
Stating that the students could get the statement of marks from April 20 to 26 at their respective schools, the official said, “Similarly, the candidates can also download their statement of marks in www.dge.tn.nic.in after submitting their date of birth and registration number from April 24 to 26.”
“Students, who want to apply for re-totalling, should pay Rs 205 per subject and for re-totalling Biology subject, students need to pay Rs 305 after filling an application form in their respective schools,” he said adding, to receive the printout copy of the answer script, candidates need to pay Rs 275 per subject.
The official said that the students who failed in their exams, can re-appear for the exam in June.“The dates for submitting application form for the re-exams will be announced later,” he added. This year students wrote Class 12 exams for a total mark 600 marks unlike the previous total of 1,200 marks.
“Practical exams for subjects like Chemistry and Physics will carry 20 marks instead of 50 marks and the theory exam will carry 80 marks,” the official said.
Meanwhile, government and its aided Arts and Science colleges has made special arrangements to distribute application form for various courses.
