Physically challenged voters struggle without access to wheelchair
Even after the Election Commission's steps to achieve 100 percent voting in Tamil Nadu, there were certain slip falls in polling booths accross Tamil Nadu.

For the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu, the Election Commission had announced to achieve 100 percent voting and it had assured that necessary steps to ensure peaceful voting in all booths.
As per the announcement, EC had promised wheelchair access for physically challenged and elderly voters.
But it was reported that some poll booths failed to make the necessary arrangements, like lack of wheel chairs or no temporary ramps for wheel chair mobility.
A 93-year-old voter was lifted with wheelchair by SI Praveen as there was no path for wheelchair entry at St.Francis Xavier school, Alwarpet.
However, Tamil Nadu recorded 30.62 per cent voting till 11am in 38 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state, with Chief Minister K Palaniswami and DMK chief M K Stalin among the early voters.
Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo said polling has been peaceful until now and issues like technical glitches in some locations are being addressed.
