Addressing reporters, Arul, said, “The gang lifted the mobile number of women from their Facebook profile. After getting the numbers, the gang called the women for interview to hotels and molested them.”
Recently, a complaint was filed at Perambalur SP office in which a woman claimed that she was molested by a gang in Perambalur and was videographed and an AIADMK functionary was head of the gang.
Arul, an advocate, said that the Perambalur incident resembles the Pollachi incident where large number of women were raped, videographed and threatened.
“They gang raped women and took video of them. Using it, the women were subjected to flesh trade, similar to Pollachi incident,” said Arul. He also said that one Dhanavel alias Velmurugan, working in a local cable TV was the mastermind behind the incident as he used to call the women for interview and videographed them. Dhanavel was working for an AIADMK functionary and the name of the functionary was revealed to Police.
However, police are now targeting Arul and they have initiated legal action against him. A team of lawyers, headed by High Court Advocate Balu, have decided to file a plea demanding CBI inquiry into the case.
