After allegedly campaigning for AMMK candidates, the 3 MLAs of AIADMK are on the verge facing the music from the Speaker.

MLAs Rathina Sabapathy, Kalaiselvan, Prabhu who are known to be TTV-sympathizers are expected to clarify their standpoint within a week in the notice issued last Tuesday. The Speaker issued a notice following a complaint from the AIADMK Whip Rajendran to enforce action against the 3 MLAs under Prevention of Party Defection Act.

Siding with the 3 MLAs, the DMK mooted for a no-confidence motion against the Speaker. Hence, the party moved to the Supreme Court to stall the Speaker from taking action citing no-confidence motion against him. The DMK requested the Supreme Court to look into this case with immediacy. Heeding the request, the Supreme Court has called for the hearing on Monday.
