DMK students wing, RSYF stage stir against draft NEP
Members of the DMK’s students wing and those belonging to the Revolutionary Students’ Youth Front (RSYF) staged a demonstration here on Friday against the draft National Education Policy (NEP) proposed by the Centre.

Around 200 members of the wing raised slogans against the NEP and against the Central and Tamil Nadu governments, police said.
Later talking to mediapersons, Manoj Kumar, who led the agitation, said NEET has led to a loss of a few lives in the State and in view of this, the Centre should immediately exempt TN from the test.
As many as 17 members of the Revolutionary Students’ Youth Front were arrested when they tried to burn the copy of the draft NEP. The students raised slogans against the policy that was released by the HRD ministry for suggestions from State governments.
The students attempted to burn the copy. However, police personnel, who were posted there to prevent any untoward incidents, immediately overpowered and prevented them fromburning it.
