Yoga classes once in a week in schools soon: School Education Minister Sengottaiyan

School Education Minister Sengottaiyan, Tamil Nadu BJP leader Tamilisai Soundararajan and others participated in the Yoga Day program on Friday at Nandanam, Chennai. Yoga camps are held in different parts of the country to mark International Yoga Day. Various Yogasanas were also performed by the participants.
In an interview with reporters after the program, School Education Minister Sengottaiyan said, “Steps are being taken to provide yoga training once a week in schools in Tamil Nadu.”
He also added, “Drinking water is not a problem in government schools. Everyone should learn yoga beyond religion and language. About 13,000 practitioners are ready to teach yoga and soon the funds will be put aside to implement Yoga classes in schools.”
