Vellore LS elections: Voting to be held on Aug 5
No information regarding election shall be shared with people through movies, television, radio, Whatspp, Facebook or Twitter.

Vellore constituency Lok Sabha election's voting will be held on 5th August. Opinion polls cannot be published after Saturday evening, according to a statement issued by the Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Sathyapradha Sahu.
In the notice, following proclamation were made:
No one should organise, form or participate in any kind of rally relating to election.
No information regarding election shall be shared with people through movies, television, radio, Whatspp, Facebook or Twitter. Sharing any information regarding the election through SMS, internet and all other electronic form of communications has been banned.
No music programs, theatricals or other entertainment program should be used to campaign to attract people’s attention. Party members who fail to follow these rules will be punished with 3 years sentence, fine or both.
Party workers and administrators who are not the residents of constituencies must leave before Saturday evening.
Marriage halls, community halls, hotels, and guest houses will be checked for any outsiders.
Lok Sabha election candidates can establish their temporary campaign office 200 meters away from the polling station with only two members. Unnecessary crowd must not be encouraged.
After 6 pm, no information regarding the election can be communicated with public. Exit polls is also banned.
