Aadhar is mandatory for school students: School Education department

Aadhar number is compulsory for students studying in government and government aided schools, says School Education Department.

The School Education Department sent a circular to District Primary Education Officer and school Head Masters announcing that aadhar is mandatory for Government school students. In the circular following instructions were given.

Registered aadhar number should be provided to all students. The aadhar details will be linked with the respective details in academic information centre.

The devices used to register the aadhar number are organised for registration.

Regional Resource centre should gather information from the students and the parents and register it. 

The registered information should be uploaded in the aadhar website.

For changes to be made in the aadhar card, one can approach the primary education officer and proceed according to his directions. After the changes are done a receipt will be provided.

During the days when the aadhar registration is taking place the school should work only from 9 am to 5 pm.

No payment should be received for the registration. Rs 50 will be charged for those who want to change their information.

This registration service is only for the school students. Common people will not be allowed to register.

The School Head Master should identify the students who don’t have aadhar number and take measures.

Students betwween the age group 5 to 15 years should register their signature, photo and pupil's scan freshly.

In order to monitor the registration process, a security group is organized.
