16-yr-old kills alcoholic father after rape bid

Only two weeks ago, he came to stay with his wife at his in-laws. Before trying to rape his daughter, the man, who’d come drunk on Wednesday night, had locked up his wife in a room following a quarrel.

The incident came to light on Thursday morning. Jalakandapuram police sent his body to Salem Government Hospital for a post-mortem. The police have secured the girl for murder and further investigations are on.
