“When I met Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami I (Seeman) stressed upon him not to implement CAA in the state. I said that I do not have birth certificate and Chief Minister also replied that he too does not have his birth certificate. When Chief Minister himself does not have birth certificate it will be very difficult for every citizen to prove their identity and it is not just against Muslims,” said Seeman, while delivering his address at the protests against CAA in Tiruchy.

Seeman also said that a large number of people have already migrated from Bangladesh and are now living in the country for 30 to 40 years. If CAA is implemented, their status in the country will become a question mark.
