J Anbazhagan’s Demise: TN CM Edappadi K Palaniswami, DMK leader MK Stalin express their shock

The incumbent MLA of Chepauk-Triplicane constituency, was thrice MLA. In his present Chepauk seat, he has won twice consecutively in the years 2011 and 2016.

Following the demise of DMK's J Anbazhagan, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami took to his Twitter space and paid tribute to the late leader. He wrote on the micro blogging website, “The news of J Anbazhagan’s demise has deeply saddened me. My deepest condolences to his family and his party officials for the huge loss”.

MK Stalin, on the other hand, expressed how badly the news affected him. He wrote, “This news has come as a huge shock. J Anbazhagan stood by me to help people combat the pandemix situation. I’m out of words to offer condolences to his family as I’m having an emotional breakdown”.

J Anbazhagan, who was actively participating in MK Stalin’s 'Ondrinaivoom Va' initiative to distribute relief material to people, passed away on Wednesday after testing positive for COVID 19.  The incumbent MLA of Chepauk-Triplicane constituency, was thrice MLA. In his present Chepauk seat, he has won twice consecutively in the years 2011 and 2016.

Anbazhagan was admitted to a Chennai based private hospital where he was receiving treatment when he breathed his last. After he complained of difficulty in breathing, his family rushed him to the hospital where he was under ventilator support.
