A division bench comprising Justice Vineet Kothari and Justice R Suresh Kumar had observed on June 8 that it was prima facie satisfied that the government decision to conduct exams from June 15 must be stayed as it cannot put the lives of more than nine lakh students at stake, while the government insisted that it was the right time as experts’ opinion had indicated that COVID-19 cases might rise in the next two months.
