CM lacks grip on COVID-19 situation: Stalin

A resolution adopted at the meeting of the party district secretaries, MPs and MLAs said that the Chief Minister’s statements show that he lacks a proper perspective on the damages caused by the virus spread and the resolution advised the government to make constructive efforts to prevent the disease spread and protect the livelihood of people.

In another resolution the party condemned the Centre for denying reservation to OBC students under All India Quota (AIQ) in medical education. Asking the government to allocate seats under existing Central and State reservation laws without waiting for the conclusion of the cases pending before the High Court and Supreme Court, the DMK also urged the BJP to eliminate the process of states surrendering seats to the Central pool.

The meeting also passed resolutions demanding cancellation of all college semester exams and bringing cooperative banks under RBI. Demanding CB-CID probe into the case relating to arrest of its Thiruporur MLA, the party also announced a statewide black flag protest against the EB assessment policy.
