TN corona count goes up by 5,875: 82pc cases reported outside Chennai
The total number of Covid-19 patients who died over the past 24-hours was 98, raising the death toll to 4,132.

As many as 5,875 persons tested positive for coronavirus infection in Tamil Nadu over the past 24 hours, the state health department officials said.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the health department said the State recorded around 5,875 new infections were registered, taking the total tally to 2,57,613.
The total number of Covid-19 patients who succumbed over the past 24-hours was 98 taking the death toll of the State to 4,132.
On the positive side, 5,517 Covid-19 patients were cured and discharged from various hospitals in the state. The total number of cured persons goes up to 1,96,483.
In total, around 56,998 patients are under treatment which includes self-isolation as well, in TamilNadu.
The state capital Chennai saw a downward trend in Covid-19 infection chart with 1,065 persons testing positive for the virus and the total tally stands at 1,01,951. While the other districts have become the major contributor for Covid tally, taking around 81.8 pc of share with 4,810 new cases for Sunday.
