Paapanasam and Servalaaru dams to be opened for 10 days: TN CM Palaniswami

Heeding to the request of the farmers of Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced the opening Paapanasam and Servalaaru.

He had issued a statement pertaining to this matter.

The dams were said to be opened for 10 days from August 5 to 14. Amount of water to be released won't exceed 621.02 metric tonnes.

CM ensured that this would fulfil all the needs ranging from agriculture, irrigation, animal husbandry to household needs.

He also asked the people to follow water management and use water wisely in order to live prosperous lives.
