On Thursday, Ramadoss, who appreciated neighbouring Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy for his announcements and execution of the announced schemes, took a dig at TN administrators. In a veiled attack against the TN administrators, Ramadoss tweeted, “Andhra CM Jagan was executing all his promised announcements. To ensure public welfare, Jagan is also executing the schemes which he did not promise, but in TN the administrators do not speak about public welfare schemes and ignore others’ opinion,” the Tamil tweet read.
The previous day, Ramadoss in a series of tweet blasted Governor Banwarilal Purohit for not clearing the 7.5 per cent reservation Bill for government school students who cleared NEET exams. Ramadoss said that the Governor was buying time to delay the issue affecting the education prospects of meritorious government school students.
Though Ramadoss deployed two of the party seniors GK Mani and AK Moorthy to call on the bereaving Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami following the demise of his mother, the back to back tweets targeting the state has not gone well among a section of AIADMK seniors.
“The back to back tweets by Ramadoss has created a sense of debate among the AIADMK district secretaries whether Ramadoss is planning to join the opposition DMK camp ahead of the next Assembly polls. This is the usual tactics of PMK by echoing the voice of opposition so that the PMK can keep the option of joining the DMK or may continue with the AIADMK,” said an AIADMK senior.
There is a lot of time for the alliance talks to commence and the senior AIADMK leaders have made it crystal clear that only those who accept the AIADMK’s choice of CM candidate Palaniswami can stay in their alliance. This may have upset the PMK, as the party has been projecting Anbumani Ramadoss as a CM material, the senior noted.
