TN Assembly HIGHLIGHTS: charges against the protestors of INO, SLM-CHN express highway and Delta Methane projects to be dropped

MK Stalin accuses former CM Edappadi K Palaniswami of being negligent in handling the Covid situation, which led to the spread of the virus.

The first session of the 16th Legislative Assembly began June 21 at the Kalaivanar Arangam.
After the initial Governor's address on the first day, the people elected legislative representatives were engaged in a debate on the Governor's address.
Followingly, today the Chief Minister addressed the assembly. While addressing the current pandemic situation prevailing in the state, MK Stalin accused former CM Edappadi K Palaniswami of being negligent in handling the Covid situation, which led to the spread of the virus in the state.  Following which MK Stalin tabled the following announcements. He said that 2 factories to be set up in Tindivanam and Seiyaru districts to boost industrial growth He also promised that the criminal charges against the protestors of Neutrino, SLM-CHN express project and Methane will be dropped.
MK Stalin also said that the Tamil Nadu govt has allocated Rs 1,000 crore for temple renovation in the state. Rs 100 crore will be spent this year to renovate temples in the state. Mean while, it was also earlier reported that the Tamil Nadu chief minister, M.K. Stalin is likely to head the state-level temple advisory committee to be constituted in the near future.
