I visited Delhi as CM to bring schemes to the state, says Palaniswami
Alleging that DMK lacks political decency, Palaniswami said, “When Stalin visited Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accorded him a warm welcome," he added.
COIMBATORE: AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday responding to the charges made by Chief Minister MK Stalin against him said that he visited Delhi as Chief Minister only to bring projects for Tamil Nadu. “As a Chief Minister, Jayalalithaa visited Delhi and secured projects after a struggle for Tamil Nadu. After her demise, I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cabinet ministers to bring better schemes for the state. Stalin, who was then the Opposition leader, criticised AIADMK of being a slave to BJP. But, now he himself meets the Prime Minister and cabinet ministers. People will understand who is a slave to whom,” he said.
Alleging that DMK lacks political decency, Palaniswami said, “When Stalin visited Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh accorded him a warm welcome. In contrast, when Modi came to Tamil Nadu, Stalin and the DMK party said ‘go back Modi’ and flew black balloons,” he added.
