Less than 10 new cases in 21 districts

Chennai reported 83 new cases, Coimbatore had 68 cases, and Chengalpattu, Erode and Salem recorded 35 cases each.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu recorded 525 new COVID cases on Sunday, including 2 cases from Rajasthan and one from Puducherry. Total number of cases stood at 35,67,160. Chennai reported 83 new cases, Coimbatore had 68 cases, and Chengalpattu, Erode and Salem recorded 35 cases each. As many as 21 districts reported less than 10 new cases. As many as 21 districts reported less than 10 new cases. After 22,533 samples were tested, TN’s overall test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 2.4%. Coimbatore recorded the highest with 6.9%. No new COVID fatality was reported in the past 24 hours. Death toll stood at 38,034.
