Quarterly exams for TN school students to be held in Sept
Due to the pandemic, the quarterly and half-yearly exams were conducted online only by private schools across the State.
CHENNAI: After a gap of more than two years, school students in Tamil Nadu will be physically appearing for quarterly exams this September as the School Education Department has released the provisional schedule.
Due to the pandemic, the quarterly and half-yearly exams were conducted online only by private schools across the State. However, most of the government schools especially in remote and rural areas could not conduct these exams online due to poor infrastructure.
Accordingly, this year students studying from Class 1 to Class 10, will have quarterly exams from September 26 to September 30. For the Class 11 and Class 12 students, the exams will be conducted from September 23 to September 30.
After the exams, schools are expected to be closed from October 1 to October 5 for Gandhi Jayanthi and Ayudha Pooja that fall during the first week of the month. Schools will be reopened from October 6.
A senior official from the School Education Department said a detailed subject-wise exam schedule will be released shortly.
