Covid: Tirupur has highest TPR of 6.6% in TN
The test positivity rate (TPR) in Tamil Nadu stood at 2.3 per cent, after testing 19,824 samples in the past 24 hours. The highest TPR of 6.6 per cent was reported in Tirupur.
CHENNAI: With a further decline in the cases of Covid-19, Tamil Nadu reported 470 fresh infections on Sunday, taking the cases so far in the State to 35,70,567. The fresh cases in Chennai stood at 84 while 64 cases were recorded in Coimbatore. Kanniyakumari recorded 31 cases while most of the districts reported a dip in numbers.

Meanwhile, active cases in the State stood at 5,010, with the highest in Chennai, which has 2,140 active cases. With 494 more people being discharged from several hospitals across the State, the total recoveries counted 35,27,521. With no more deaths due to the pandemic virus in the past 24 hours, the death toll stood at 38,036.
