Education in mother tongue a game changer: TN governor

CHENGALPATTU: The best way to learn and gain knowledge is to learn it through one’s own mother tongue, said Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi. He was delivering the keynote at a seminar on the implementation of National Education Policy — 2020 that was held on behalf of Vidya Bharati at a private school in Chengalpattu district.

“The country is in desperate need of a new education policy. Despite being the fastest growing economy, we’re still highly dependent on education in English,” he said.
