The recall applies to models built from 2003 to 2011, Honda Malaysia said in a statement. Models include the City, Accord and Civic, among others. Honda last month said it would recall 21 million vehicles to replace Takata inflators, on top of 30 million already recalled.

Regulators fear the inflators could explode with excessive force after prolonged exposure to heat and humidity. The inflators have been linked to 13 deaths and over 100 injuries, mainly in the US.
