11 killed in Lahore factory fire

Chief of the rescue operation team Rana Ijaz Ahmad said the incident took place on Monday night and the fire also engulfed a residential block adjacent to the factory.

At least 11 people were killed when a perfume-making factory caught fire after a gas cylinder exploded, an official said on Tuesday.

Chief of the rescue operation team Rana Ijaz Ahmad said the incident took place on Monday night and the fire also engulfed a residential block adjacent to the factory, Xinhua news agency reported.

Most of the victims were reported from the residential block, said the official, adding that the toll was likely to increase.
