    Why Moore Market?

Many of us who grew up in the then Madras fondly remember Moore Market. I used to go there with my sibling and cousins to buy old books and the pets we had. The market was our shopping mall. Later when I moved to Japan and there was a store—a jewellery store— a café and a library, inspired by the market. We have fond memories of visiting “Moore Market” to buy used books, antiques, stationery, pets, etc. This was a place where you can buy anything. Unfortunately, all that is left are the fond memories of it. We want to bring that fond memories and nostalgia alive for the older generation, and to give a new and unique experience to the current generation.

What does the store consist of?

Moore Market at Grand Square consists of a book store replete with pictures of old Madras, antique kiosks, various merchandise and cafés. It will be a hub for budding authors and artist to showcase their talents. Book launches, art exhibitions and performances are planned at Moore Market. We are also planning to have flea markets, organic produce bazaars, concept bazaars, etc regularly here. Bidfe.Com an online marketplace is developed to elevate the beauty of collecting historic pieces.
