Slice of Life: ‘I am happy when my customers are happy’

I hail from Karaikudi. I came to Perungalathur seven years ago after my marriage. I have a daughter who is studying in Class 3. I started to sell fruits four years ago and before that, I was working as a loader in Guindy. I had always wanted to do my own business and that is how I opened my shop on roadside. I buy fruits from Koyambedu market in the morning and sell it form 3 pm to 9 pm every day. I go to the market early in the morning itself so that I can procure good quality produce. Now, I am earning enough to run my family and we are happy. I am able to buy toys for my daughter every month and also meet all my family’s needs. As I choose only fresh and best quality fruits, I have a lot of regular customers. I am happy when my customers are happy. My only goal in life is to provide a good education for my daughter and support her to reach great heights in life. I will continue to work hard till I make my business bigger in Chennai. I believe I can do it.
